My story
My career story is not only about accounting.
It is about learning, failing, rebuilding confidence, exploring the world, and sharing what I learn along the way.
I started my career as an Accounts, Audit and Taxation Assistant in a Chartered Accountancy firm in Udaipur, India. Like many young professionals, I had big dreams, but I also had many doubts.
I failed exams. I struggled in interviews. I was afraid of speaking in front of people. Presentations made me nervous, and my confidence was very low.
But I kept moving.
Over the years, accounting gave me opportunities to work with different organizations, people and cultures. My career took me from India to international assignments in mutiple countries and eventually to Dubai.
And somewhere during this journey, I understood something important:
Technical knowledge can help me become a good accountant, but that alone cannot build a global successful career.
I also need communication, confidence, technology, leadership, problem-solving, curiosity and the mindset to keep learning.
So I started working on myself.
I improved my core accounting and finance domain knowledge. I worked on my English communication. I learned Excel and other digital tools. I started reading, attending workshops, learning from mentors and exploring subjects outside my normal job responsibilities.
Slowly, my mindset changed from:
“I need to know everything.”
to:
“I need to keep learning.”
I believe in growing 1% everyday. That simple change made a big difference in my life.
Why I Write?
Well, after more than 15+ years in accounting and finance, I have learned many lessons from successful people, my own failures, difficult bosses, supportive mentors, international assignments, career decisions and everyday workplace problems.
Now I want to share those lessons.
I don’t write as someone who has figured out everything.
I work. I learn. I experiment. And I share what works.

It is a place where I share core professional skills related topics, and we also discuss technology challenges, improve our skills and grow together.
